A real sporty snack full of protein and without sugar! Okay so, they don’t taste like an actual donut but they are nice and fluffy, creamy because of the yogurt frosting and definitely sweet enough!
Makes: 4 donuts
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 8-10 minutes
Equipment: a donut baking tin and a plastic ziplock bag
3/4 cup of oat flour
a large tablespoon (25 grams) of body & fit cookies and cream protein powder
1/3 cup of apple sauce (sugar free if you like)
half teaspoon of baking soda
3/8 cup of Greek yogurt
4 oreo cookies or body & fit crunch and cream cookies
8 drops of stevia
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees celsius and spray the donut baking tin with an oil spray. Mix the oatmeal, protein powder and baking powder in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the apple sauce and the egg. Now combine the 2 bowls and stir well with a fork or spatula. Put the batter in the plastic bag and make sure it is in one corner of the bag. Now cut a centimeter wide tip from the plastic bag so that the batter can go through. Now put the batter in circles in the baking pan, this works easier and cleaner than just scooping it in. It is quite a thick batter so I recommend doing it this way.
Put the donuts in the oven for 8 minutes, maximum 10. Take them out of the oven and let cool a little. Chop or cut the cookies into small pieces and combine half of the chopped cookies with the Greek yogurt and stevia. Spread the yogurt frosting on the donuts after they have cooled
Finally, sprinkle the last 2 cookies over the donuts for an extra crunch.
