PULLED JACKFRUIT SANDWICH

An oh so tasty sandwich, not your regular -just a piece of bread with a slice of cheese- but totally worth it being in the kitchen for 20 minutes. A bit spicy, super tasteful and has a little bit of a meaty texture. Also nice to eat in a taco, burrito or in a salad, go nuts!

Makes: 2 sandwiches
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Equipment: Frying pan

Ingredients pulled jackfruit:
3 1/2 to 4 cups of young jack fruit
teaspoon onion powder
teaspoon of cayenne
teaspoon of smoked paprika powder
2 teaspoons of sugar
teaspoon of vinegar
tablespoon of oil
tablespoon tomato sauce

Other ingredients:
2 ciabatta rolls
mayonnaise or vegan mayonnaise
mixed salad

Sift the jack fruit and rinse well with water so that the fruit flavor is slightly reduced. Then break it into pieces and put in the pan together with all other ingredients. Turn the heat to medium heat and stir well. Fry it for about 10 minutes until it looks a little chard. The most tasty is to put it in the  fridge over night and eat it the next day, but right out of the pan is certainly tasty too.

Slice your sandwich in half and cover both sides with mayonnaise. Put a few tablespoons of the jackfruit on top and then some lettuce for the tasty crunch. You can also add cucumber, pickles and siracha if you like.
